Isabel & Jorge had a gorgeous sunny September wedding. It was full of so much love in the air! We had a great day together, and I had a wonderful time delivering their wedding photos Toronto. They made me feel like part of their family from the very moment we met.
Actually I first met Isabel way back in January at the National Bridal Show as I had a booth there. We hit it off immediately! About a week later I met Jorge as well, and the rest is history! 🙂
I started the day at the ceremony at St. Paul’s Basilica, just around the corner from the reception venue. It’s a breathtaking space in itself, as it has a ton of massive columns and archways, and has a ton of intricate carvings/paintings on the ceiling. It’s very reminiscent of a historical european church!
After Isabel & Jorge tied the knot we headed over to St James Park, which is one of my favourite parks in Toronto. It always looks so lush, but you also get the juxtaposition of the city beside you, which makes for a unique combination of city and nature.
Then the last stop was at the St. Lawrence Market Kitchen, which is located on the 2nd floor mezzanine. I was super excited to photograph there, as I had never had an event there before! I love to photograph in a new space, I just get so much inspiration! Especially there, there’s magnificent views of the city out of these giant windows that stretched the whole way around the 2nd floor. The rest of the building was fascinating as it had exposed brick, and a split level with built in railings which made a great decor piece as they had lights strung on them.
The night was a lot of fun and the food was delicious, and then my favourite Portuguese tradition for dessert – Portuguese custard tarts! And what Portuguese wedding wouldn’t be complete with a ton of dancing? It’s a way of life for them, and is ingrained in their culture.
All in all it was a perfect day. Thanks Isabel & Jorge for letting me be a part of your wedding day, and hopefully you’ll have those memories to cherish forever.
