Before leaving for BC I photographed Jenmy & Shaun’s very intimate wedding in September of 2016 at one of my new favourite restaurants in Toronto called Gusto! I adore this restaurant because it has so many interesting architectural detail such as: The steal peak arches that makes its’ way through the top floor balcony, the ceiling lights/installations that look very space age, all surrounded with a modern glass windows that make the space look larger. I also love how all that’s combined with rustic details such as the goodyear sign covered in ivy and rust, the wood bench, and antique scale. ♥
The couple got ready at their condo just around the corner which was fun to grab candids of the families playing games together. They also did a first look as well-which is always one of my favourite moments to capture as there’s always so much build up and tension before and when they see each other-it’s magic.
From there they had their ceremony at Gusto upstairs. It’s all open up there, it just has modern glass windows that surround it. There was maybe 50 guests there, so it was a super small and intimate day just with close family and friends. They had a short lunch reception afterwards, very casual, and then I was on my way. It was a perfect day.
I first met Jenmy & Shaun when I was photographing one of their best friend’s weddings in 2013- Cheryl & Norman. Their wedding party had some pretty awesome individuals in it as they kept booking me. 🙂 First was Jiyu & Alex’s wedding in 2015, and now with these two love birds Jenmy & Shaun. I love full circle moments like this!
