I know you’ve all been patiently waiting for my travel photos, well here is part #1 of my travels: MY TRIP TO JORDAN! It was so beautiful there, such a mysterious lure to the country, just sucks you in. One of my favourite parts was going to Petra, which I’ve been wanting to travel to for 3 years. I have been trying to travel to all the New 7 Wonders of the World, that’s one of my goals. So far I’ve been to all of them now except three: The great wall of China, the Taj Mahal, and the Roman Colosseum. I’m so excited that I was able to cross Petra off my list! It was so breathtaking there, I spent two days there just walking around, and still didn’t see everything. The carvings and mountains you have to see to believe, it looks like colourful wood grain, and the detail is insane.

One of my other favourite places in Jordan is Wadi-Rum, a desert that’s so harsh, the wind is so strong it carves the mountains into the most spectacular shapes. You literally feel like you’re on a different planet. Bright red sand dunes, and camping beside a fire the bedouins make for you, it doesn’t get much better than that. I was there during their winter, and it actually snowed in the desert. It hadn’t snowed there in 8 years in that region, so needless to say all the locals were really excited. There were so many interesting faces in Jordan as well, and everyone was very nice, especially in the smaller towns. I also loved Jerash, which were these amazing Roman ruins in the north of Jordan. It was actually spring there by the time I went so the spring flowers were out, bright green and yellow surrounding the ruins made it even more special.

I really loved my time in Jordan, and after I was done I headed to Israel where I had an even more wicked time. Those photos will follow soon enough in part #2 of my travels. 🙂

This is Petra which is one of the coolest places on earth!

This ruin is called the Treasury of Petra for a reason.

The narrow gorge called the ‘Siq’, is one of the most beautiful parts of the hike into Petra.
