Alexa has always been obsessed with weddings ever since she was really young, and her obsession grew when she was older. She read every copy of Martha Stewart Weddings front to back many times, and has been in several wedding parties. So when it was time to plan her wedding with her fiancé Derek, she was over the moon!
Their wedding took place at the Field house at Berkeley Church, and it was super unique, modern, colorful, and so much fun! There was so much attention to detail, from the grey and yellow pallet that they incorporated into everything, the streamer wall, the gorgeous centerpieces, the yellow and grey nail polish, their wicked shoes. I think one of my favorite parts was the drinks with mustache cutouts on the straws, so unique! The bride’s dress was a gorgeous short feathered number from Ivy & Aster, which I adored! Perfect for the summer heat. All the decor was DIY, which is tons of work but if it’s done right it looks breathtaking! They wanted something non traditional for their wedding, and they certainly got it! I loved capturing every minute of this epic wedding. 🙂
This wedding was also recently featured on the Style Me Pretty blog! So exciting!
Reblogged this on vows and knots.

I love love love everything about this wedding. And the amazing photos that captured it. (I agree the yellow nailpolish on the ring-finger is an amazing touch!) So many great details.
